starline® process

For trenchless renovation of pressure pipes.

Efficient trenchless pipe rehabilitation for pressure pipes

The starline® method is a rehabilitation method developed by us for the permanent trenchless rehabilitation of pressure pipes weakened by ageing using fabric hose relining. Our efficient 'green' technologies are available as an alternative to the open trench method for almost all tasks in the gas, water, wastewater and industrial sectors.

Sustainable pipe renovation with minimal CO2 emissions and a long service life

In the starline® process, an adhesive-filled and seamlessly round-woven, plastic-coated fabric hose is reversed by means of overpressure into the weakened pipe or pipe at risk of breakage and bonded to its entire inner wall. As a result, the hydraulic pipe cross-section is retained and operational safety is permanently, quickly and efficiently restored while maintaining the overall structural integrity.

The ability to negotiate bends and the trenchless opening of existing connections reduce earthworks to a minimum. This saves around 90 % of these CO2 emissions.

Since 1991, over 700 km of pressure pipelines have been rehabilitated using the starline® process. The processes comply with all relevant rules and regulations and are certified for a service life of 50 years.
