KARL WEISS Technologies – The Company
Over the past more than 120 years, the construction firm KARL WEISS has evolved into a high-performing, technology-oriented company through progressive entrepreneurial thinking and action. The KARL WEISS Foundation was established in 2009 and recognized as a legal entity by the Berlin Senate.
It is a nonprofit foundation and is managed by a volunteer board of directors.
Innovative Trenchless Construction Methods
KARL WEISS Technologies specializes in trenchless construction methods for pipeline installation, as well as in the execution of infrastructure projects in civil engineering, traditional pipeline construction, and sewer construction. In addition to project management—including even the largest construction projects in civil engineering and urban pipeline construction—we plan construction projects and develop new trenchless technologies for sewer and pressure pipeline construction.
We develop intelligent, customized solutions for civil engineering and commission the construction of alternative, tailor-made special-purpose machinery for these purposes. Many of our globally patented methods in trenchless pipeline construction have now gained recognition beyond the borders of Berlin and Germany. We are currently actively and successfully marketing our own products and expertise in Europe and the United States.
We are a partner of Berliner Wasserbetriebe. The company is certified in all areas, including as a training provider, in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.
Our Corporate Philosophy
In all our activities, we are consistently guided by our principles. Our integrated management system, which combines quality and occupational safety management, serves as our central tool and is an integral part of our overall management strategy, which is focused on ensuring and continuously improving customer satisfaction, workplace safety, and high quality standards. As early as 1994, KARL WEISS Technologies GmbH implemented a certified quality management system. We undergo regular audits by specialized firms and associations and strive for continuous improvement of our internal processes.
To ensure that the management system serves as the foundation for our daily operations, adjustments are made on an ongoing basis, and new procedures and work instructions are developed as needed. All relevant processes are regulated and assessed for their environmental impact. Management commits itself and all employees to carrying out their quality- and safety-related activities in accordance with the provisions of the integrated management system. The quality manager, our occupational safety specialist, and the responsible experts and managers are accountable for planning, monitoring, and correcting the system, which is actively implemented by all employees.
Our system is based on the recommendations and requirements of the applicable standards and specifications of DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, the AMS of BG Bau, and the provisions of all applicable regulations, laws, and rules.
