The project calls for two trench excavations and one pipe jacking operation, each with a DN 1000 pipe. Large clusters of boulders in the ground pose a particular challenge, as they could endanger the machine’s cutting head and disrupt rail traffic.
A Clever Solution
To minimize the risks, rail traffic will be suspended for 52 hours, and the pipe jacking will be carried out using the open-cut method. This will allow the pipe jacking to be carried out safely and efficiently.
