A trough excavation with sheet pile wall, underwater concrete base and HDI seal is planned for the renewal of the wastewater drainage system. Alternatively, a microtunneling method with mechanical tunnelling was offered.
Challenges such as erratic blocks and non-load-bearing soil made implementation difficult. The solution was to drill replacement holes, which were then filled with liquid soil - creating a stable foundation for further construction.
